British Engagement Rings such as the Cannelé Petit are wonderful examples of the highest of British Craft and Design. The potent style and elegance of our classic, enduring Cannelé design is reworked here, in the stunning petit version. Understated but confident, this dainty ring possesses a powerful allure, with the 0.15ct diamond at its heart encircled by a pristine halo. The signature fluted detail of the setting is all the more entrancing for its scale and precision.

SPECIFICATION:

A strikingly clear, bright 0.15ct diamond centre G SI in a gleaming precious metal with 0.02ct surround diamonds.

CANNELE BRITISH ENGAGEMENT RINGS OPTIONS:

Besides the different stone sizes the Cannelé British Engagement Rings are available in, there is also a range of striking gemstones including blue sapphires, rubies, emeralds and even chocolate coloured diamonds as worn by one of the world’s favourite style icons Pippa Middleton. Metals available are 18ct yellow, 18ct white, 18ct rose gold and platinum. It is available as a diamond three stone ring called Cannelé Trois and a cushion cut ring- the Cannelé Cushion. This is undoubtedly one of the the most deisrable rings by engagement ring designer Andrew Geoghegan and it is also possible to modify or create a unique piece if bespoke engagement rings are more your taste.

WHAT DOES THE WORD CANNELE MEAN AND WHERE WAS IT DESIGNED:

The French word Cannelé means fluted and also the name of  a small French pastry flavored with rum and vanilla. It is a speciality of the Bordeaux region of France.

Engagement Ring Designer Andrew Geoghegan remembers perfectly well the exact location and context when the Cannelé concept was first created:-

“I was holidaying in a village called Gensac in the Dourdogne region of France with my family. Totally immersed in exquisite nature and living in a friends wooden house for some weeks over the Christmas period. The largest fire place I had ever seen was roaring away and I was sat, totally relaxed and content in front of the heat with a glass of red wine in one hand and a pencil in the other. I felt inspired to create a halo with fine stones in comparison to the centre stone – much smaller than usual halos. I was then further inspired to simply follow the outer curves of the halo stones and extrude them down beneath the centre stone to create one point of focus within the design. Et voila – the Cannelé  was created! I was initially nervous that it was too classic for my collection but the demand for this almost Art-Nouveau creation was crazy right from the beginning!”
