So you can wow the admirers of your jewellery with your vast knowledge of gemstones, we’ve thrown in some useful information about your stone. What more could you ask for?

Take good care…

Your quartz jewellery is easy to clean and quite a hard wearing gem. We would not recommend that the Celestial Rings with quartz are worn everyday as there is a large surface of the stone very proud. You can clean your quartz jewellery with a few drops of washing up liquid in water.  Use a toothbrush to gently scrub behind the stone, removing the dust and debris that can build up.

Try to avoid…

Avoid wearing your quartz jewellery to do any rough work which may lead to the stone being scratched or, in some cases, fractured.  Your quartz jewellery should be stored with care in its original box to prevent scratching.  Keep from excessive temperature variations as this can cause internal fractures in the gem stone.

About your stone…

The clear quartz crystals composed of silicion dioxide are united with tourmaline needles, a complex borosilicate deriving its colour from trace mineral impurities.

Pearls of wisdom...

This gem is associated with the Pluto, the planet of transformation and wearing tourmilated quartz is thought to help bring about change in things you thought could not be changed, giving the wearer newfound wisdom, strength and self-belief.  Black tourmaline is considered to be one of the strongest protectors against and removers of negativity – and such powers are said to be amplified when it is combined with quartz.

We have a stunning example of the use of Tourmilated Quartz in our cocktail rings.
