Your quartz jewellery is easy to clean and quite a hard wearing gem. We would not recommend that the Celestial Rings with quartz are worn everyday as there is a large surface of the stone very proud. You can clean your quartz jewellery with a few drops of washing up liquid in water. Use a toothbrush to gently scrub behind the stone, removing the dust and debris that can build up.
Avoid wearing your quartz jewellery to do any rough work which may lead to the stone being scratched or, in some cases, fractured. Your quartz jewellery should be stored with care in its original box to prevent scratching. Keep from excessive temperature variations as this can cause internal fractures in the gem stone.
Composed of silicon dioxide, the colour is produced by minute impurities of manganese or titanium. Rose Quartz usually occurs without crystalline form and true Rose Quartz crystals are rare and can be valuable. There is no scientific reason why Rose Quartz does not occur more commonly in crystals and it remains a mystery.
Rose Quartz is regarded as a major gemstone for love and is said to promote the wearers feelings of tenderness, gentleness, joy and hope. It is thought to promote happiness and fidelity in relationships.
